Anti-Robert Sirleaf Movement Unfolds
-Sounds Early Caveat Against Senatorial Ambition
A group under the banner “Movement Against the Senatorial Bid of Robert A. Sirleaf” has recommended to President-elect, George Manneh Weah not to support his senatorial bid under the CDC.
Addressing a major press conference Monday in Monrovia, the Secretary of the group, Jimmy George said, warned that doing so would mean betrayal of the confidence reposed him by the over 61 percent of the voters.
The group warned the CDC not to allow the Sirleaf’s and all their associates to pollute the people’s government ushered in through their sweat and blood.“The people of Liberia have endured unexplained hardship and gross thievery and economic sabotage under the leadership of the outgoing president.
Making specific reference to the National Oil Company of Liberia(NOCAL) which the group noted, should have stimulated the country’s economy went down under the leadership of Robert Sirleaf without accounting for such mismanagement.
The anti-Sirleaf group added that concession agreements were entered into by the Executive andabetted by the 53rd Legislature disregarding the livelihood of the Liberia people.
“Those concessions and other business entities taking advantage of Liberian people and going with impunity leaving the labor law mere black and white tool”, the Secretary of the Group, Jimmy George declared.
