First Lady Visits LPRC Boss

– Tours LPRC Facilities
The First Lady, Madam Clar Weah says she is greatly impressed with the level of the ongoing work done at the Liberia Petroleum Refinery Company, LPRC.
Speaking during a tour of LPRC facilities and ongoing construction projects on Friday, March 2, 2018, Madam Weah expressed satisfaction over the pace at which the work is being done.
She thanked LPRC Managing Director, Nyemade Pearson, and the management team along with the staff for their commitment to duty.According to a release from the Office of the First Lady, Madam Weah made the comment when she pay a courtesy call on the Managing Director, Madam Pearson.
While at LPRC, the First Lady was taken on a guided tour in a bus, starting with the company’s clinic which is being rehabilitated to offer immediate response to the health needs of workers.
.The release further stated that upon return from the tour of faclities, the First Lady met with a large group of employees, mainly women, who were excited and expressed thanks and appreciation for her visit.
The women chanted slogans like “We love you our beautiful First Lady”, as they surrounded her. For about twelve year now, Liberia never had a first lady, and so for many of them the scene was an amazing phenomenon.
Thrilled by the overwhelming reception, Madam Weah told the group how pleased she was with them. “I appreciate it, I appreciate the love… But I never expected this,” the First Lady told the women as they surrounded her with cheers.
“I want to thank you for the support. I am also happy for the love you showed me,” Madam Clar said.
Speaking earlier, LPRC Managing Director, Madam Pearson thanked the First Lady for the visit and assured her that the next time she return, some of the projects, especially the clinic would be completed and ready for dedication.
