Mary Broh Defies Weah

-Engaged in Double Standards
By Charles P. Dennis
It appears that there are some officials of ex-President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf regime who were retained by the CDC led administration of President George Manneh that are not as loyal to this new government as expected of them, and will do anything to undermine a George Weah leadership.
One of such person is the current Director General of the General Services Agency (GSA), Madam Mary Broh.
Appearing during the Information Ministry regular press briefing on Thursday, Benedict Reeves, the Chairman of the Special Presidential Task Force set up to retrieve from some criminal minded former government officials, government properties lamented that Mary Broh, is leading a calculated attempt to impede the President’s efforts of retrieving the vehicles.According to him, Madam Broh is part of an organized scheme to defraud the Liberian government of thousands of United States dollars through the sale of government vehicles, often under the pretext that the sale is being carried out through the government’s fleet management system.
He further lamented that there are documents presently in their possession that prove that most of the vehicles sold through this dubious process, were sold at prices far below the market price of used vehicles, indicating that the GSA Director is doing all to undermine the Task Force efforts in order to conceal her double dealings.
He revealed that in recent days, the Task Force has been under serious physical attack by elements within the Mary Broh gang, in some cases with death threats.
Meanwhile, Mr. Revees recounted that in a very short period of time, his group, with the assistance of several security agencies in the country, has retrieved over one hundred vehicles that were in the hands of former government officials, adding that 72 of the cars are in movable shape while about 30 of those recovered have been dismantled and were camouflaged unscrupulous people.
