International Muslim Preacher Visits Liberia

The Grand Mufti of Zimbabwe, Ishmai lIbn Musa Menk, a renouned International Islamic preacher has urged Muslims across Liberia, and all Liberians to create conditions for unity and love for each other, noting that this is a way of creating an atmosphere of tolerance, “never should we hate and fight each other , and we all must remember that we come from one family”.Speaking to thousands of muslims and non-muslims who have gathered at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium in Monrovia on Saturday March 31, 2018 to listen to his message, he stressed that he has come to Liberia to preach a message of peace, love and unity.
A brief profile of the Mufti shows that he is the head of the Fatwa Department of the council of Islamic Scholars of Zimbabwe known as Majlisul Ulama Zimbabwe, and also one of the Muaththins and an Imam at Masjid AL Falaah Mosque in Harare.
Mufti Ishmail Musa Menk was born in Harare, Zimbabwe, and was tutored by his father who was a well-known scholar.
He completed his hifz and recitation courses at an early age and leant the Arabic and Urdu Language whilst studying Shariahunder his father.
He was at the same time attending an English Academic College in Harare, where he completed his secondary School education.
Mufti Menk obtained a degree in Shariahfrom the university of Madinahand later specialized in Iftaa at DarulUloomKantharia in Gujarat.
He is an experienced Social worker and counselor who has been on many speaking engagements and lecture tours around the globe.
Each year, during the holy month of Ramadan, he spends time with a far-away community, disseminating and preaching on Islam, and also working solely for the pleasure of the Almighty without any financial rewards.
This means there are no charges, no royalties, no copyright, no patents, and absolutely no costs involved to invite him to any part of the world.
Mufti Menk praised Mufti all Muslims and non-Muslims in Liberia for their time and patient to come and listen to his message.
Also speaking at the occasion, Sheik OmaruKamara,the National chairman of the Muslim council of Liberia, expressed appreciation for Mufti Menk for accepting the invitation to come to Liberia.
Mr. Kamaraalso said Muslims in Liberia should be tolerant with others in our efforts to build our nations, and is asking all Liberians to forgive his brothers and sister for the sake of Allah. By Priyanka Kiazolu
