Mayor Seton Urges Sinoe Citizens To Unite
The Mayor of the Greenville City Corporation in Sinoe County, Otis Seton, has called on citizens of the county to eschew religious, sectional and political differences and rally around the government to promote national development.
He observed that when citizens are divided, it will be difficult for the country to achieve its overall development goals.City Mayor Seton made the call on Thursday in Monrovia in an interview with the Liberia News Agency (LINA).
He said the time has come for Sinoe County citizens to formulate strategies that will promote reconciliation, unity and total peace among the people, and avoid confusion that has the propensity to derail progress.
Meanwhile, Seton has appealed to the government, international community and local and international Non-Governmental Organizations to assist with logistics to enable the county carry out its development plans.
He said the materials needed to carry out their plans include vehicles, brooms, rakes, wheelbarrows, shovels, dump trucks and front-end loaders.
Mayor Seton said citizens who have abandoned structures and vacant lots in the city will be invited by the City Corporation to clean their property to give the city a face-lift.
