Citizens Laud Pres. Weah
-For Appointing Sheriff Asst/Minister

The citizens of Tewor District in Grand Cape Mount County have lauded President George M. Weah for appointing their father, brother, and grandson Minister Millis Z. Sheriff as an Assistant Minister at the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MYS).
It can be recalled that as part of government’s efforts to include more qualified young people to responsible positions in government, President Weah appointed Mr. Millkias Z. Sheriff who hails from the border town of Bo-waterside, in the Tewor District of Grand Cape Mount County to serve as Assistant Minister for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) at the Ministry of Youth and Sport.Speaking at a 2-day honoring program for Hon. Sheriff at Bo Waterside in the Tewor District of Grand Cape Mount County over the weekend, the honoree, Assistant Minister Sheriff thanked the people of Grand cape mount county for their historic support in ensuring total victory for the Coalition for Democratic change (CDC) through their votes.
He said his coming back to say thanks to the people of Cape Mount is something that he will sustain for the uplifting of the Country, adding that he sees himself in the people of Grand Cape Mount County, and that for the fact that they appreciate his preferment, he will continue to identify with them.
According to Minister sheriff most often when God bless people and raise them, they don’t come back to their community, but he chose to brake the chain of ignorance, because he believes that when you come from among the people and you are opportune, the best thing to do is to come back to the people, identity with them, and work in the interest of them.
Minister Sheriff was Honored and Gowned by the Bo-waterside Youth Development Association (BYDA), in collaboration with the Federation of Liberia Youth (FLY), branch in Grand Cape Mount County.
According to the organizers of the program, Minister Sheriff was honored because he is one of the excellent young men from cape mount, especially as he once played for the Bo-waterside Ranger Football club.
It is a pride to them that he has been chosen among thousands of other smart young people in the county by President Weah to serve his country.
The citizens reaffirmed their unflinching support to the president, and promised to make sure that his government’s pro-poor agenda will be realized.
They said this is the first time ever the CDC party has received an overwhelming victory vote from the people of cape mount, if one looks back to the 2005 and 2011 elections respectively.
Minister Sheriff was born on September 15, 1985, he has three (3) children and hail from Grand Cape Mount County, Western Liberia.
