Since the appointment of Hon. Musa Konneh as the Deputy Director General for Operations and Technical Services, he has started putting in place strategies geared towards revamping the entity, and has also began making a tour of some counties where the LACRA facilities are located in order to improve on them where changes are needed.
It can be recalled that An Act transforming the Liberia Produce Marketing Corporation (LPMC) to the Liberia Agriculture Commodity Regulatory Authority (LACRA) was passed into law by the House of Representatives since 2015.
The passage of the Act repeals Chapter 57 Title 12 of the Executive Law of the Liberian Code of Laws Revised in 1973 that established the LPMC, and in its stead, a new Chapter 57 Title 12 known as the Liberia Agriculture Commodity Regulatory Authority (LACRA) was added.
