Justice Korkpor Pledges Support To Open Government

The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Liberia Justice Francis Korkpor has pledged the judicial branch of government’s support to the implementation of the open government partnership
Justice Korkpor said as part of effort to implement the open government partnership, the court has appointed a public information officer as a means to inform the general public about the happening of the court.
He also pointed out that the court has provided a media room for the use of judicial reporters association and allowed the live screaming of the activities at the chamber of the court. Also speaking the Chairman of the OGP and Deputy Minister for Administration and Atty.Daniel Gayedyu said as part of activities preceding the climaxing of the official celebration on Friday, public awareness on OGP was held by the steering committee through various media outlets.
He pointed out that on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 a High Level Engagement Roundtable Meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cecil Dennis Auditorium with cabinet ministers to discuss the implementation of the Third National Action Plan of the OGP.
The official celebration brought together his Honor Justice Francis Korkpor Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Liberia, Atty. Oscar Bloh, the Executive Director, of the Center for Democratic Governance, amongst others.
