Lofa Supt. Vows To Revamp Agriculture
Lofa County Superintendent William Tamba Kamba has reiterated that revamping agriculture is a top priority of his administration because Lofa County has always been known as Liberia’s bread basket.
In an interview with the Liberia News Agency at the Abundant Life Church of God in Paynesville recently, Supt. Kamba said his administration is keen on Lofa County regaining its status as the bread basket through the Pro-Poor Agenda of President George Manneh Weah.According to him, to ensure that Lofa County regains this status, his administration has designed a policy known as ‘Take Lofa to Your Chest’.
He said this policy is challenging citizens to do away with tribalism, political differences and focus on unifying the people and prioritizing the development of the county in the areas of agriculture, education, road connectivity, health and infrastructure, adding that institutions that are shut because of lack of support will be resuscitated.
Meanwhile, Supt. Kamba has disclosed that his administration is currently engaged in the assessment of roads to develop a master plan to get involved in road connectivity across the county to buttress the Pro-Poor Agenda of President Weah.
Kamba indicated that a task force has been constituted to move traverse the districts to know the total number of roads that needs to be connected in the county.
