Lawmaker Extols APM Terminals
-For Sponsoring 530 Students

Montserrado County District #13 Representative, Saah H. Joseph has lauded the management of the APM Terminals for the sponsorship of about five hundred students at the Monrovia Vocational Training Center (MVTC) within his district.
The Montserrado County lawmaker added that as a Representative of the district, it is his constitutional duty to engage partners operating within the district constructively in adhering to their corporate social responsibility.Representative Joseph made the assertion Wednesday June 6, 2018 at the graduation program of over hundred twenty graduates most of whom were sponsored by the APM Terminals management that was held at the MVTC.
According to him, after holding a series of discussions with the APM management, they were asked by them to send in a proposal to faciliate helping the young people of the district.
The CDC lawmaker added that after the proposal was reviewed, the APM management agreed to sponsor five hundred and thirty students at the MVTC.
Representative Joseph disclosed that there was a lot of difficulties faced by students during the school year, adding that they include: transportation.
He hailed the APM management team for their gesture in helping the young people of the district, adding that it would go a long way.
He indicated that the move by the APM management shows that they are not only here to operate in the country, but to also help to buttress government’s efforts such as exploring ways to empower the citizens.
Representative Joseph informed the management of APM that he is gratified now that the students have graduated in various areas of training through their sponsorship and now that they are ready to work as a way of serving their country.
For his part, the students leader of the graduating class John Kamara thanked the APM management for their support, noting that it will go a long way as a means of them fulfilling their corporate social responsibility.
According to him, the APM management has shown that they are here to help buttress government’s efforts in helping to move the country’s development agenda forward.
Also speaking at the occasion, the district council Chairman, Pastor Arounia Zeah added that what the company has done is going to be forever remembered in the country’s history.
Pastor Zeah cautioned the students to put into good use what they have acquired from the institution.
