Lawmaker Donates To Muslims
-As They Observe Ramadan

Montserrado County district #10 Hon. Yekeh Kolubah on Wednesday June 6, 2018 donated over two hundred bags of rice to the Gurley Street Mosque in central Monrovia.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony at the Mosque, the district #10 lawmaker stated that it was the friends of Yekeh Kolubah’s own way of identifying with Muslims in the country, as they observe the holy month of Ramadan.
According to him, Muslims in the country are playing vital roles in helping to offer prayers for the government to enable her move the development agenda of the country forward.He added that over the years, members of the Muslim community have been very instrumental in helping to pray for the peace of the country and expressed the hope that such can be maintained.
The Montserrado County lawmaker added that the role of the Muslims in praying for God to move the country forward amongst the comity of nations, would forever be remembered in the country’s history.
He added that the gesture should be lauded by everyone from all walks of life in the country.
Hon. Kolubah assured the friends of Yekeh Kolubah his fullest of commitment to work with them to move the country forward.
He asserted that members of the religious cycle are very important people in any society, and so their efforts need recognition by all well-meaning Liberians regardless of their status in the society.
Receiving the rice at the Gurley street Mosque in central Monrovia, Sheikh Abubakar Sumaworo the Grand Mufti of Liberia commended Hon. Kolubah for the donation and prayed that the all mighty Allah will continue to shower his blessings on him in anything he decides to do.
The Grand Mufti of the Liberia added that the kind gesture of the lawmaker indicates that he has great respect for the All-mighty Allah.
“The rice’s being donated is going to be distributed among thirty Mosques within Montserrado County, and would be used for the intended purpose,” he said.
According to him, as they observe the holy month of Ramadan, they are also praying for President George Manneh as well as all other officials within the government.
He further observed that it is always their prayer that one day Liberia will get her pre-war status, and be on par with other countries amongst the comity of nation, adding that may the lord almighty Allah bless
