MOT Releases Prices of Driver’s License
The Assistant Director of Public Affairs at the Ministry Of Transport, Mr. Lemuel O.Kleeme told the Liberia News Agency that the new Driver’s license for ordinary vehicles is raised from $25 United States dollar to $35 United States dollars, Commercial vehicles is raised from 435 United States dollars to $45 United States dollars while the heavy Duty vehicles is also raised from $95 United states dollars to $100 United states dollars.
He said that the Driver’s License for commercial Motorbike is $45 United States dollars while the Tran cycle is also $45 United States dollars. Mr. Kleeme warned that any vehicles owner without a proper driver license willimpound and the tow truck will tow it from the point it will be tow.
He maintain that if anyone car is tow the owner will pay$150 .00 and USD$10.00 will be added to that on a daily basis for any day it will say at the place it will be park.
He appeals to all cars owners to have proper insurance stickers, eligibility certificate.
The MOT Official indicated that the ongoing Vehicles Inspection process will not Strangulates Commuters ,School and Business people as such all modalities have being put in place so there can be free flow of traffic through the Country..
He I said it was necessary to make the clarification because people in the in the society have begun criticizing the joint inspection team that Commuters School and Business people Strangulates if the enforcement of inspection of the registration of Vehicles Inspection process begins.
Mr..Kleeme emphasized that because of this the Ministry I has concluded its internal modalities on motor vehicle registration in the country are not physically seeing in the street to carry out the enforcement of inspection until the modalities are concluded.
said the Inspection Team which comprises of the Liberia National Police (LNP), the Revenue Authority (LRA), and the Ministry of Transport (MOT) will soon be in the streets to carry out the enforcement of inspection of the registration of Vehicles Inspection process.
According to him, while the joint inspection team comprising of the Revenue Authority (LRA), and the Ministry of Transport (MOT) working out a modalities prevent traffic carry out the enforcement of the
registration of Vehicles Inspection process owners of cars are taking advantage of the opportunity and now going to the Transport Ministry to register their vehicles.
