Chinese Embassy Praised

-Donates To Clar Hope Foundation
Chinese Embassy near Monrovia has received commendations from First Lady Clar Marie Weah for donation made to Clar Hope Foundation.
The donation, including bags of rice, locally made bamboo furniture and office equipment among others, was presented to the First Lady on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at the Chinese Embassy in Congo Town.
Speaking during a brief ceremony, Mrs. Weah expressed gratitude to the Chinese government for the invaluable support to Liberia’s development efforts over the years.Mrs. Weah praised China’s tremendous progress in economic growth and development in the last few decades, stressing that China remains willing and ready to share its knowledge and experience in helping Liberia addresses challenges of poverty and hardship.
The First Lady pointed out the Henan Reimei Hair Production Company’s acceptance to extend its investment to Liberia through her appeal while visiting China recently as an example of the government and people’s willingness to partner with Liberia.
“China has done exactly so. China has done so much for the Liberian people over the years,” said Mrs. Weah as she thanked the authorities of the hair company who were also at the ceremony.
First Lady Weah also thanked Chinese Ambassador and the China Liberia Agriculture Demonstration Site for the rice among others for the donation.
In brief remarks earlier, Chinese Ambassador accredited near Monrovia, Fu Jijun hailed the First Lady’s initiative through the Clar Hope Foundation to improve the lives of the less fortunate people of Liberia.
Amb. Jijun assured Mrs. Weah of the Chinese Embassy’s support to enable her succeed.
“Taking this opportunity, I will also like to assure your Excellency that during my tenure in office, Chinese Embassy in Liberia will always be a good partner to the Clar Hope Foundation,” Amb. Jijun said.
The Chinese envoy also pointed that the Chinese government’s willingness to support Liberia shows how the two countries share similar challenge of improving the people’s living condition.
Meanwhile, Chief of Office Staff to the First Lady, Gaelle Medeim and the Chair of the Henan Reimei Hair Company Zhan Xihe along with members of her delegation and the Chinese Embassy officials were among dignitaries at the donation ceremonies.
