RNYL-CDC Calls It Broad – Base Membership

The National Youth league (RNYL) of the Congress for Democratic Change (CDC) calls on its broad – based membership to remain supportive of the party’s strategic vision in increase its membership base and help
unite the country behind the president’s, governing policies thus making the CDC strong and stronger.Speaking on Wednesday , September 5, 2018, at the CDC headquarters in a press conference, the national Vice Chairman for Political Affairs of the Youth League CDC, Emmanuel T.T Swen said, the leadership of RNYL-CDC believes that the forward march of this country depends on each and every citizens, and the coming over of many Liberians to the CDC is a clear indication that the dream of Liberia’s foremost President George M. Weah to unite and reconcile this country, is on an irreversible path and signal a clear manifestation that the president’s pro-poor agenda enjoys massive public support that cuts across party lines.
He used the occasion to welcome the new recruitment strategies of the party, which has attracted dozens of opposition members once critical of the CDC which includes partisans of the unity party and others who have signed out to the membership of their party.
He reaffirms its support for the nationwide recruitment plan and encourage young people in the opposition to join the CDC, a part of the rebuilding process of our dear country Liberia.
Swen further noted that the CDC seeks to promote national unity, peace, and reconciliation in pursue of national developmental programs and policies that are “pro-poor” driven and intended to empower the
less fortunate and develop our country. “The leadership of the RNYL –CDC wholeheartedly welcomes all those that have joined them and wishes to extend arm to those sitting on the fence to come over as we
Together build a new Liberia”.
He encourages their new family members to reject the distraction and rather focus on their personal growths in accordance with the party’s guiding principles, by laws and constitution.
At the same time Swen appreciated the president’s impressive performance on the diplomatic stage particularly in the people’s republic of China where he successful attracted fifty-four million
dollars to wards infrastructural development in Liberia.
