CDC Youth League Condemns Alleged Burglaryat Root FM

-Calls For Police Full Investigation

The Revolutionary National Youth League of the Congress for Democratic Change (CDC) has condemns the alleged burglary on the premises of Root FM.
They also call on the Liberia National Police(LNP) to conduct a full investigation in to such alleged act and bring to book those involved in accordance with the rule of law.Addressing a Press Conference held at the CDC National Headquarters Thursday Mr. Emmanuel T.Swen vice Chair for Political Affairs Youth League said the CDC as a democratic institution believes in freedom of the press and all fundamental freedom at commitment their standard Bearer George M. Weah continues to exhibit through the decriminalization of free speech.
“While we condemn this alleged act, we also want to warm against act of orchestration on the part of Root FM family as a means of presenting a quote-unquote bad image of the government” He said.
Mr. Swen however used the occasion to call on the LNP to also investigate Lone Star GSM Cell-phone company who is believes to be hosting the receiver and other equipment of Root FM.
Consequently, He said they hold strongly that the alleged act of burglary if not orchestrated be investigated and those found culpable should face the weight of the law.
According to him, from the inception of the government the Liberian leader has shown his commitment to promoting free speech and creating on enabling environment for the exercise of the our fundamental rights.
He said this has occasion occasioned the abuse of such rights as they witnessed daily the use of vulgarity against the Presidency and the unfounded allegation against the government by people he referred to as certified blackmailers.
