Movie Union Opens New Office
-NPA Boss Pledges Support Gov’t Support To Industry
The Managing Director of the National Port Authority (NPA) on Monday, March 25, 2019 officially dedicated and toured the newly renovated offices of the Liberia Movie Union.
Speaking during the official opening ceremony, Mr. Bill Twehway pledged government’s continuing commitment in helping to cultivate the hidden talents of Liberians.According to him, exploring the hidden talents of Liberians is in lined with President George Manneh Weah’s promise of youth empowerment.
Twehway said the President’s promise is also intended to promote local organization by helping them with their own office(s).
He further noted that with collective efforts in the industry, Liberian films will be one of the best in the world as it used to be.
He stressed that the Liberian government is inclusive in its programming and activities for all Liberian.
For his part, the President of the Liberian Movie Union, Frank Artus thanked the government for the level of support to the film industry.
He then vowed the Union’s commitment in producing good movies that will tell the untold stories in Liberia, and stories that will internationally recognized
