Konneh Urges Citizens

-Focuses On Agriculture

The Liberia Agriculture Commodity Regulatory Authority (LACRA) Deputy Director General for Operation, Musa Konneh has urged citizens in Grand Bass County, Compound (2) to see agriculture as a way of development and stability in a country that is en-route to development. “Agriculture is one of the many sectors that promote sustainability in a country; therefore we should take it seriously and make it our responsibility to encourage people that are not thinking in the line of agriculture,” Konneh said. He made the assertion in Grand Bassa County when he disclosed that LACRA Cocoa farm that is located in Compound (2) has reached the stage of harvesting. The citizens were impressed with the efforts made by the Liberia Agriculture Commodity Regulatory Authority (LACRA) Management, adding that it will be recorded as a major achievement for the current administration.
The LACRA expressed gratitude to employees on behalf of the management team headed by Dr. John S. Flomo Jr. Director General and Hon. Ronald Kekula Mends-Cole -Deputy Director General for Administration and Finance for the level of work being done on the Cassava, Potatoes and Platain Farms in Compound 2, Grand Bassa County.
Meanwhile, the Liberia Agriculture Commodity Regulatory Authority (LACRA) has started harvesting vegetables in Bong as part of its extensional agro project initiative. Few Months ago, the Senior Management Team at LACRA decided to carry on vegetables projects that will contribute to food security and economy growth.
LACRA, in its zest to impact the agro sector of the country, the entity will extend its operations in other counties to boost the agriculture sector. The initiative is in consonance with the administration’s strategic plan that every part of the country be part of the process in an effort to promote agricultural activities in the country.
The first phase of the harvest was done by LACRA operational chief, Konneh who represented the Senior Management Team (SMT) in Bong County.
