SIS, Seven Other Schools Certificated
-Identified As Best Performing Schools
The Seku Ibrahim Sheriff (SIS) High School located in JJY Community along the Somalia Drive has been identified and subsequently certificated along with other schools by the Ministry of Education for their splendid performances in the just ended West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) maiden exams.
Schools certificated include, the College of West Africa ( CWA), William Booth High School, Calvary Chapel Mission School, St. Peter Claver Catholic High School, St. Martin’s Catholic High School, Mildred Taylor Academy Light International School and the Seku Ibrahim Sheriff High Schools.The eight schools were certificated recently as the best performing schools in the 2018/2019 West African Senior School Certificate Examination:
Speaking at the certification ceremony, Deputy Education Minister for Instruction, Alexander N. Duopu commanded the schools for their high-quality appearance and encouraged them to maintain the same performance in the years to come.
Min. Duopu then disclosed that the Ministry was re-introducing civics education in this academic year, while announcing that Liberia came third place in mathematics in the WASSCE and the 13 students who are the duxes, passed with credit in both Math and English with the 13 duxes coming from the eight schools,
For his part, Mr.Vamuyan S. Sheriff, Principal of the Seku Ibrahim Sheriff (SIS) High School thanked the Parent Teachers Association for their Support and assured them that the school was fully prepared to always provide sound and quality education for the Liberian children.
Sheriff disclosed that the School has in its employ trained and qualified instructors, who according to him, are in the position to provide quality materials for better performance.
