To Scout Liberian Professionals For Possible Placement In The United Nations System

-A High Profile UN Diplomat Visits Liberia Shortly
  A high profile United Nations diplomat is expected to visit Liberia shortly for the purpose of scouting Liberian professionals for potential placement in the United Nations System.
The visit comes in the wake of the Secretary General’s Global Human Resource Strategy 2019-2021: which includes, building a more effective, transparent and accountable United Nations.

According to a Foreign Ministry release, the purpose of the expected visit is to among other things raise awareness about job and career opportunities within the United Nations Secretariat: geared towards the employment of more Liberians in the United Nations Secretariat, internationally.
Ms. Floresha Berisha, Human Resource Officer of the Staffing, Diversity and Outreach Section of the United Nations is expected to arrive in country on November 24 and with coordination from Government, a meeting with interested Liberian professionals is expected to be convened at the Ministerial Complex located in Oldest Congo Town.
Ahead of the arrival of Ms. Berisha, Liberia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Hon. Dee-Maxwell Saah Kemayah Sr. will arrive in Liberia to work closely with relevant actors for the overall success of the initiative which is expected to target close to a thousand Liberians.
During meetings with the Secretary General of the United Nations, Mr. Antonio Gutteres,. His Excellency President George Manneh Weah, has repeatedly voiced his desire to see Liberians benefit from job opportunities within the United Nations system globally
The importance of creating employment opportunities for Liberians within the United Nations System around the world; remains a paramount interest to His Excellency Dr. George Manneh Weah.
