As Liberian President George Weah, a former international football legend, released a song to be used by the UN to spread awareness about the new coronavirus, Rasha Kelej creates a song by singers from 11 African countries to support medical workers during Coronavirus battle
Dr. Rasha Kelej CEO of Merck Foundation, directed and produced for the first time, a song by singers from 11 African countries for the first time together in three languages; English, French and Arabic to show our support for medical workers around the world. MCC To Distribute 1.2 Million Locally Made Face Mask

-Disinfects Major Streets And Market Places In Monrovia
The City government of Monrovia under the leadership of the Lord Mayor, Jefferson Tamba Koijee will in the coming weeks begin the production and distribution of locally made face-mask to inhabitants of the City of Monrovia.
The endeavor is part of the City government’s contribution to the government of Liberia campaign to minimize the spread of the deadly Coronavirus across the country. Read more

Monrovia, Liberia, 04/16/2020: A human rights Activist based in the United States of America says his attention has been drawn to the reported flogging of residents by police officers in and around Monrovia.
Jarwlee Tweh Geegbe said he condemns these acts and should be condemned by all well-meaning people.
According to Mr. Geegbe, a Liberian based in the US, these are acts of human rights violation being allegedly perpetrated by the security in the name of enforcing curfew for the COVID-19 pandemic. Read more

MCC, NPHIL Launches Covid 19 Project

The National Public Health Institute of Liberia (NPHIL) in collaboration with the Monrovia City Corporation (MCC) will deploy 6,000 active data collectors beginning today Wednesday, 8 April as part of health authorities’ measures to prevent the spread of the disease which has affected Liberia and other countries.
